I'll explain,Kixx is Daku's rival because Daku has this trauma about darkness,and wants to kill anyone evil and dangerous. So Moku,Kixx's best friend,has a problem with dark energy,he was born with an exagerated amount of dark energy in him,so he's not balanced.
Because of that Moku strives hard to master the Light element,so he can become balanced,but he loses control of himself at times,when the Dark energy rises above a certain amount,and hurts others and destroys things randomly.

So Daku once found him,so he tried to kill him and was stopped by Kixx. So yea,Kixx says everyone deserves a chance,he'll defend his friends until the last second. And Daku says It's pointless to protect someone who'll kill you.
