History/Bio: Ciri is actually the bastard Daughter of Grand Duke Gaspard, being the result of a one-night stand with another Chevalier on a tour of duty. Due to the shame her Mother faced back home, she gave birth in secret and Ciri was given up to an Orphanage. When she displayed magical abilities however, the circles had already fallen but luckily Ciri had been adopted by a Fereldan merchant couple who's wife was barren. Whilst Ciri's adoptive father couldn't do much in terms of tutoring her use her abilities himself, everytime he went on a trip he brought her back books which he hoped would help her, clearing out a little space on their property for her to practice her abilities in secret. However when the rift in the sky tore open, demons invaded her village and killed her adoptive family, yet she was able to slaughter the demons with no problems whatsoever due to her practice in what she didn't know to be the early stages of being a Knight-Enchanter. When The Inquisition formed and they took protection over her village, she signed up for recruitment but when lieutenants noticed her abilities, she was referred to a specialist to train under them instead, becoming a personal agent of the Inquisitor eventually.

All the while she remains oblivious to her possible claim to the Throne of Orlais.
