For those of you wondering what this is, this is not, I repeat NOT an alternate boxart for New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Instead, this is my custom boxart for the fanmade Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii that is currently in development by several fans of Mario, not Nintendo themselves. On top of that, these guys are not doing it for profit. Instead, they want to give everyone a chance to play and experience a Mario game they feel should have been released because they felt that the latest game was too easy and cookie-cutter.As for how they are doing this, apparently someone else (I don't know who) was able to create a level editor using the game engine as it's basis and in turn can overwrite any level in the game for what you created instead. The whole project looks very promising and if anyone of you want a better look at what these guys are cooking up then click this [link]

He's not a spriter, rather, he hacks video games, particularly the to nsmb titles.

Beleive it or not, this fanmade game is made for those who have modded Wiis. I didn't mod mine nor do I want to but that does mean that I will not experience this. A friend of mine has a modded Wii and he is already anticipating this free release whenever it comes out!
