I think it's time to sign my art using my artist alias again. I don't know, I feel like... I finally deserve to sign things as Bluefire.Anyway, here is where it all started. When I was around 8, I saw Sleeping Beauty for the first time. My parents bought me a picture book with stills from the movie, and I fell in love with Maleficent's dragon form. She was the first dragon I'd ever drawn, and I drew her over and over again. Over time, Maleficent's form gradually changed, and soon I was drawing my own unique dragons. They became everything to me.
This was meant to be my last piece for the Smaugust challenge, but that #teacherlife had other plans for me. I struggled to get her to materialize. I dont have much experience with chalk pastels. Also, teaching consumes a lot of my creative energy, but I will figure out a way to manage it. There are teachers out there successfully handling their careers and side gigs. I have to figure it out too.
I can't access my scanner right now so this is the best picture I can manage for now. I'll probably re-upload later.
