I'm near in tears. This is so beautiful to me considering I have ADHD and do take pills. I sometimes reminice about the past and how exciting I used to be and how I moved and talked. But ever since I was diagnosed with a pill, I'm silent and quiet, kid at the back of the class. Of course I still talk but I don't talk with as much enthusiasm as I did. I love this it is so beautiful!

Oh...I take medication for mine...Actually, meds don't make you not YOU, just keep you calmer, less distracted, etc....Of course, I mostly took it so my mom wouldn't yell at me...Didn't work. The meds do work, though. I have an easier time focusing and stuff.

I have ADHD but I talked to my parents and they don't make me take a pill. I tried once and it was like I was braindead, I didn't move a whole lot and went real quiet. I don't see ADHD as a sickness, but more as a gift.

I have a combination of ADHD and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder - Specifically Aspergers) and have been told many times that I need to take meds. No matter how many times I try to explain that it'll make me not me, no one listens... It's wonderful to see such a nice, well written piece that reflects how I am and how I feel, instead of the simple, "I have ADHD, but really - OH LOOK A KITTEN" Which is kinda degrading.

ADHD is nearly the best thing that could ever happen to me. But I only take my medicine when I REALLY need to focus. Like when my grades get low or when I have a HUGELY IMPORTANT test. But otherwise, I shun the vile pill!
