Not only that, if I was that person I would be more offended to the fact that the original is badly traced butchered , razed beyond recognition, uploaded in low resolution complete with jpeg compression artifacts. You did not even bother putting proper shading

There is a category of DA for traced bases. I assume DA thinks the artist has permission to trace an image for a doll base, but coupling that with their policy of tending not to do anything unless the original artist him/herself complains just means a lot of anime screenshot or fanart-traced bases are pretty much the only types found in the category.

To take parts from other dolls to create one of your own. This can be by changing the colors, copying the shape of an article of clothing, etc. This is a extremely serious offense in the dolling community. The likely-hood of not being caught is zero to one. Dollers in the community are always very familiar with each others works.

OK, I get that I guess. The sprite community with Ace Attorney are REALLY protective of their sprite mods, but I didn't think it applied so much on trace overs. I get where the term comes from now in any case Thank you for informing me.
