I think this marks the point where I've drawn so many pictures of Ciel dying/about to die/dead that I simply can't come up with titles for them anymore. A good title here would be, "I Quit", but I fear that's not very professional.
Half-assed because I'm lazy and have a headache. This sketch has been sitting around on Tumblr for quite a while, and I really wasn't planning on coloring it.
Okay, that's all for excuses.

The composition is lovely and the expression and emotion evoked here is beautifully sad. It certainly brought back the emotions of the end of the anime for me, I nearly teared at this piece.

I just set the sketch to multiply and colored under it, I think, and then went back over it on a new layer over the sketch. Thank you!

You may not like this because it's a sketch, but as odd as it is I think this wouldn't look as good if it was completely polished. It has a more emotional quality in this rough state.
If anything, I think I would blur the line between sky and sea more (especially to the left of the characters) and I would round Sebastian's left hand some (the hand farthest to the right) because it looks a bit flat right now, but I would leave the colors alone.
Definitely going in my fav's. ^^

But I really love such pictures, they are so meaningfull and this one gets close to my heart. The memories that flying away are a simple, but wonderful idea and I love Ciels pose - it looks so real and Sebastians expression ... Everyone can see that he isnΒ΄t really satiesfied cause he can eat his soul now.
The water gives this picture a really calm atmosphere and is really fitting. The "shallow", pastel colours tighten the pure and calm atmosphere, it looks all so soft and "light".
Please make more of these pictures, I really love them!
