I finally finished my first Alternators project and with one of my all-time favourites: Devastator.I would have used all Caterpillar machines, but was unable to find Hook and Mixmaster.
So these are the real counterparts:
- Hook is a Grove TMS900E Truck Crane
- Long Haul is a Caterpillar CAT789C Truck
- Scavenger is a Caterpillar CAT5130B Excavator
- Bonecrusher is a Caterpillar CATD11N Track-Type Tractor
- Scrapper is a Caterpillar CAT966D Wheel Loader
- Mixmaster is a Mercedes-Benz Atego Concrete Mixer
Obviously no magic appearing/disappearing parts!!

Man, if this thing was made, it would tower over other transforming robot ever.
Plus it would not have been practical due to the nature of the Alternators line altogether.

I'd buy every last one of the halfway expensive components if they'd ever redo Devastator like your pic. Excellent work on the details as well as making everyone of those pesky extra parts incorporated into the components.

Damn, thats a pretty badass design. It would be awesome to get a devastator redesign like this. I really like the changes you made, like using the dumb truck bead as the thighs, and the two tractor treads as the forarms and fists instead of adding extra pieces like the g1 toy did.
I absolutly wish i could buy this toy...
