Groups of people are divided into teams/parties they like, sometime with a casual interest and sometimes with vehemence. There's a seasonal increased interest coinciding with games/voting, even when most of the casual or die-hard observers don't understand the organization or strategy of their team/party.

The excitement comes to a head for that big game/vote, and then most people forget about the people and issues until the next year.

What people do remember most about the team members/candidates is any scandal or drama rather than the performance they gave. If they have preconceived dislike of a team member/candidate, people will often blame them for the failings of the entire team/party.

You will notice that I used 'football' without saying if I meant 'Football' like the USA sees it or how the rest of the world sees it, so that the point is more international.

Anyway, more playing with flash, and turning flash files into stamps. Difficult work.
