Description Eros, the God of Love and Desire with his play-mate and twin brother Anteros. Anteros was said to be in the image of Eros only with longer hair and butterfly wings. He avenged love between two people taking un-requited love and making it mutual with his arrows. The two were very close and made up the original grouping of "Erotes" who flitted about their mother the Goddess of Love and Beauty, Aphrodite. Depending on which of the earliest myths you go with Eros was either a Primordial god or later son of Aphrodite and Ares and then a cherub recognised easily as the little mischievous blond-haired and blue-eyed child with wings sending arrows for Saint Valentine's Day. Anteros was one of Eros' siblings, the others being Harmonia, Himeros, Phobos, Adrestia, and Deimos. Please enjoy!!
