Description When reality fades away into the gloom
We all know we're coming to our doom
The paralyzing, sickening fear looms
To bind us all in our tombs

As curiosity turns another page
The demons rise in a terrible rage
Although you're not driven to hate
I fear it's already too late

A rigid lampost in the distance
Maybe if I sturggle with persistance
I may receive some assistance

I long to reach that land
If only just to hold your hand
If you look closely you will see
The darker side of me

Why is your hand so distant
Here and gone in an instant
My tiny fingers are tightly curled
Around my sanity, lest it be hurled

Maybe if I travel into the distance
I may receive some assistance

I really like this. I can relate with the struggle and hope for some assistance.
yes, gloom is nothingness. Things can be illusive, but other things appear in there place.
