Mainly because they are my favorite animal things, Renamon: a yellow fox, Kyubimon: Digivolved form of Renamon, Gabumon: Just because I love him :3 and Garurumon: An awesome giant blue and white wolf

Gabumon is interesting phenomenon, like that as if this digimon body would be from two beings 
The purple one and the stripes make the character wild. According to me cute through his big paws :3

That's probably why she's so popular, most of the digimon characters have simple or overused personalities. While Renamon is more in depth and thoughtful.
Gabumon is awesome
I know there common favorites, but, wolves foxes and dragons are surely the best in my opinion.
