I enjoyed this because it reminds me EXACTLY of my wolf clan RPS.. which also involved doggies, foxes, and.. appeartenly hellhounds.

Being honest, where'd you get that reference? Because I've read many things about intruding wolves near territory borders, and the wolves are rarely friendly toward eachother, regardless of gender. This includes pups, as well, although if there were an alpha female, they may take in or kill the pup. Seriously, I'd like to know; not saying you're wrong, I'm just curious.
Well, I'm making it somewhat realistic. If I was going full blown realistic, in all honesty, none of this would be happening, at least only in rare cases. Recording a full story realistically with a wolf pack is actually not so enthusiastic. Don't get me wrong, they're marvelous creatures and I love them to death, but the society they live in isn't so entertaining as to make a story, but only documentary. And I plan to make a story. It is fictional, but without the use of powers and whatnot. Obviously, I tweeked up a lot of things that wouldn't be considered probable. It's a mix, if you will.

I actually never fully read the book. And I've heard of the other one, but never had the chance or opportunity to pick it up (hence, couldn't find it in my library).
I dunno, most of the documentaries I've read haven't stated anything about gender and they made it seem like they'd defend against any intruder (unless there's a disturbance in the ranks and some males actually start mating rights with pretty much any female they deem their mate). I know females for sure attack males when protective, though.
Well, sorry for the misunderstanding. Guess I should be more up-to-date. But, I think I'll stick with the equal attacks whenever a fight, just for story purposes.
