Description Linkin Park was an American rock band formed in 1996 by friends Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, and Rob Bourdon under the name Xero. The band released a demo tape in 1997 and performed at various gigs until lead vocalist Mark Wakefield's departure in 1998. Xero began looking for a new vocalist and met with many potential candidates until stumbling upon their eventual choice, Chester Bennington of the band Grey Daze. After Chester joined, Xero changed their name to Hybrid Theory and released an EP in 1999. Eventually, after various rejections, they were signed to the label Warner Bros. Records and settled on the final iteration of their band name, Linkin Park, where they would go on to release many influential records that continue to inspire many to this day. With Chester Bennington's unfortunate passing in July 2017, the band does not plan on recording any additional music after One More Light.

Unreleased Material
As with any band that's been recording material for as long as Linkin Park, there are many unreleased songs and demos from each album session that remain in the vault. Mike Shinoda stated in an interview with Rock Celebrities that Linkin Park probably has about "six or seven digits" of demos with the majority of them being low quality. While this means that the majority of said demos will likely never see the light of day, there have been many leaks and 20th Anniversary reissues over the years that have given the public access material that previously went unreleased for many years. With only 2 albums so far having been reissued, it's likely that more unreleased material will be made available in the coming years.

LP Underground
LP Underground is the name of the official fan club of Linkin Park. Over the years, the club has received annual packages containing exclusive content not available through any other means. These packages included CDs containing unreleased songs and demos. For years, this has been the band's main way of releasing unreleased material until 2016. After the death of Chester Bennington, the band stopped giving away these exclusive CDs to the fan club. While the band continues to distribute these packages to members, it is unknown if they will ever include the CDs in said packages again. In June 2019, Mike Shinoda's Open Labs SoundSlate Pro PC containing various sounds and samples was sold on the Techno Empire Reverb Shop. This, combined with the leaks from Dave Farrell's Akai MPC500, Mike's Open Labs Neko XXL Gen5 DAW keyboard workstation, Linkin Park playback tracks, and Joe Hahn's samples resulted in over 9,400 audio files surfacing online. The files contained samples from every one of the band's album sessions excluding Minutes To Midnight, Meteora, and One More Light. LPLive members started to compile the samples into one collection and released it to the public on August 5th, 2019.

Since the vast majority of the samples found in the collection are simple beat ideas that are often only seconds long and may not be considered true demos in the traditional sense, only the ones "Emo" (Hybrid Theory), "Megatron" (A Thousand Suns), "Apes" (The Hunting Party), "Control" (The Hunting Party), "Lifejacket" (The Hunting Party), and "Spotify" (The Hunting Party) were considered significant enough to appear in the full list of demos above. The entire collection can be found here
