Excelsior Geyser in Yellowstone National Park. I used a stack of neutral density filters to lengthen my exposures to capture the motion of the wind-blown steam rising from this remarkable boiling spring.

thanks! If the sun were out I might have lost some of the blue color in the hot spring pool - also I like the moodiness created by the cloud cover - but then again, since the sun didn't come out that day, I will never know! Actually, I was back there the next day when the sun was out, but the wind had died down and the steam rising from the pool wasn't doing anything interesting. You gotta make the most of what is available, I guess!
