I really love the high contrast here. It helps bring out her face quite nicely.~
Although the shadeing (crosshatching in this case) is minimal, it still does a pretty nice job of giving her face some depth all while not being overkill. Good balance is key.
Diggin' the lighting and texture on the hair. Minimal again, but nicely done.
The one thing that I think you might want to watch for is your edges, however.
You did a pretty good job filling in all the blocks of black in the middle of the picture, but on the edges, it's sort of messy. MY suggestion would be to either crop it or fill the rest of the white spaces in (either for this one and/or for any future drawings you may do.)
But besides that, it's all pretty swell. c:
