That's one heavy powerhouse! It looks awesome. All I can say is there is something about the chaingun barrels that makes them looks a ever so slightly "saggy" (bent?), but that's all (it's most noticeable when zoomed out, imho).

I like this, it looks tough and practical, unlike most of the mecha designs that I've seen.

Reminds me of the Nova Cat from Mechwarrior. That thing always scared me.

How do commissions work, anyway? I'd loved to get paid for my average talents. Also, what is your opinion on this: ? How would you have done the design? I ask because I love the way you did the legs.

Well, I don't want to sound too blunt, I feel that you still have a lot to improve on.
Basically, I charge my client for the time I spend for making above average quality of the rendering I do.
If you have time look at my older works, they don't like anything I can draw today since I've dedicated a large chunk of my time to get better. Although as of now I still want to get a lot better than how I draw today.
I believe that aside from the design, clients look for quality work from people they want to spend money on to make a commissioned work.
As for the design, I understand the look you're going for the mech it's very different from my usual style. I prefer slightly blocky designs over smooth curves in my Mechs. I would reference dragon drawings and apply them to the design if it were me. But each person looks at stuff differently, I don't believe that I posses the proper authority to critique your work, but I honestly believe you can do better once you put more time in your craft.
Hope what I said helps.

It was a bit hard to swallow, but I did need to hear that. How much do you think it would cost for you to do my Golden Dragon Drone in professional detail with maybe a wrecked city background? From there, I can use the CM as motivation to surpass it.

Damn, if you opened commissions and they were cheap enough I'd com. ya to redraw a really old robot of mine, you're damn good at them.
