Dear Iansmom, this photo is utterly amazing!! It is an expressionistic masterpiece!! In it, I see 'so much' of you. I am dumbfounded by your innate ability to see in nature, a manifestation of your own self, your own life, your own past experiences and your own emotions.

Taking in such a spectacular wonder of nature reminds me a lot about you.  How so? The rocks where the fall violently flows over represent your body, as they're solid and sustain both the photo and the natural beauty being portrayed.

The plant-life in the background are the fruits of your past, a past where dreams, aspirations and hopes sadly were left behind, unfinished and almost forgotten.  Notice also the fact that some of the plant-life is lush and fertile and some is baring the marks of withering.

Though, the fall water is the main character of this dramatic play where nature imitates human life.  The fall: so alive, so vibrant; an ever thrusting force that drives forward so freely and so unconfined.

Like the wing-clipped bird that was once caged, no longer held captive, the fall water propels forward; like feelings, like emotions, like dreams; your feelings, your dreams, your emotions now finally allowed to burst forward and express themselves like the fall.

The still and serene water with occasional rhythms of waves swaying in the foreground represent your future; one where, IF you PURSUE YOUR TRUE LOVE, your dream, you will achieve this stability, this crystalline flow, this promising beauty that only looks forward.

Is my "soul-intuition" anywhere close to your concept of this photo?

I am so glad and happy to read that my commentary was right on.  Your work is so beautiful and impressive and I admire how you are able to channel your feelings through it.  It is a sign of a special person and artist.

I think that I'm able to read your very heart and soul through your photos perhaps because of a special reason.

A very wise woman, once said:
"There is a quote "it is said that some lives are linked across time connected by an ancient calling that echos through the ages."   Perhaps you and I are connected, linked like that. Like you said "twin souls."

Thank you so much. Your wonderful reply let me speechless for a moment.
I guess it comes, perhaps, from putting all of my self into everything I do.

I believe you are correct about there being that special reason. There is a Chinese Proverb "an invisible thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance."

I truly believe we are linked and that we were destined to meet.

I sometimes think you guys are like twin brother/sister.  Are you? Or Lovers? lol j/k!  I've never read so many consistent comments where both photog and art critic are feeding off of each other and just flowing in communication & artistic understanding.  I'm impressed at Palette's comments and iansmom's confirmation & feedback. Vive l'art! vive l'amour!

Iansmom, you putting all of yourself into your work, as you state and clearly show in your oeuvre, is only the modus operandi of a true artist; so now you "know" how it feels to be one

The chinese are very famous for their ancient philosophical wisdom; because of the profundity and the insightfulness into truth of such.  This one you quoted is no exception and a clear example that, if such a thing exists, that all the stars seem to be aligned for us to meet because of that invisible thread.

Thank you! What a compliment to be called a true artist!
I am very flattered. I just look at the world and see such beauty and I want to capture the natural art that Mother Nature herself created.

Indeed you're a true artist Iansmom.  It is evidenced in your profound photography and other wonderful written work you've done.  You're right, Mother Nature does lay out a beautiful oeuvre out there but inspiration to capture "it" only comes to those individuals who have that innate sensitivity for appreciating and portraying beauty.

Any thoughts on the previous Chinese proverb and philosophical saying?

thank you again for such a wonderful compliment.
You make a very good point Palette, it takes special people like us who have the ability to see and appreciate such beauty.

You are absolutly right the Chinese proverbs do tend to be right and this case is no exception. I think just the way you can see straight through my photography and into me alone attests to the fact that we are connected by a link, " an invisible thread".
The way they (the angels) used your love of birds to find me. They know how much you love them and gave you a sign they knew you would not ignore.

as always, you're more than welcome for my compliments.  It is true, it does take special people like us to have that sort of spiritual vision into the fine and beautiful things in life.

I'm flattered and glad to read how you acknowledge the truth of the Chinese proverbs.  Even more so, I was impressed by your very wise assessment of us being connected in such a special, "invisible" (thus spiritual) manner and that it may very well have been Angels who guided my eye initially towards your bird photos; to have met someone's who's soul my own would be compatible to.

that is very sweet. Thank you. I can more than see it. In every comment you leave and continue to leave on my pictures. The way you can see not only the beauty and art in my photos, but through them you can see straight into my heart. I thank the angles for leading you to me through  my work and I thank you for being open enough to see there signal and follow it. Thank you.
