Series: The Mud (Chocolate)
One thing I love about this series is the range. Part of that is because of how similar mud looks to chocolate, and the simplicity imparted by viewing basically a single color. Much of it, of course, is Mia's versatility. This has a feel of glamor to it, as if from a fashion magazine.

The clay was at room temperature in a chilly studio, which made it very cold for Mia to sit there. She was a real trooper though-- Whenever the camera went down, she'd start shivering, but it stopped the instant I lifted the camera back up. I kept asking her if she wanted to wrap up the shoot, and she said, "No! This is going to be too epic, we need to shoot more!"

As a feller who used to do a lot of work in a soils lab, this makes me feel...odd...

She was great about it. Even though would start shivering whenever I put the camera down, she insisted we keep shooting because the photos were going to be so cool.
