Maybe it is just cause I've only read about drow in Salvator's work, but I always thought they only had white hair. Of course, an author and an artist each has artistic license to change. I was just wondering if there was any specific reason.

I completely agree. (nice to know I'm not just out of the loop though). It makes sense to have some variation . . . Have you put it in where it fit the characters or is it a family trait?

I put it where I think it fit the character. Sometimes I just feel a particular character would look better with black hair

That makes sense. I did sometimes have trouble taking white hair seriously when I actually sat back to think about it. Some characters just don't have the personality for it.

Si se ve muy muy refinado, frΓo y calculativo inclusive para ser un Drow, y tiene toda esta aura de legalidad, aunque bueno, se supone que el alineamiento Drow tienden al Caos, segun yo y D&D 3.5.
Si fuese matrona de la casa mandaria a este hijo a seducir y corromper a las otras matronas XD

Bueno, si tienden a ser malos, pero el alineamiento es algo muy abstracto y relativo, asi que se puede jugar con eso, para bien de la historia
Igual, mi DM no considera a los drow muy caoticos, porque es dificil para una sociedad chaotic evil subsistir, se matarian entre ellos demasiado XD

Answering your questions:
Yes, its Photoshop 
Depend how complex it is, a character like the ones I have been doing these days, takes me between 10-15 hours, I think. Not consecutive, so is difficult to tell XD Im still learning, so Im not very fast
