Description Every Day
She would wake up dreading what she would face
Her classmates teasing her for her weight
Something dealt to her by genetics fate
Elementary, Middle, High;
over the years
Every Day remained the same

Every Day
she would stare at the other kids
wondering why she didn't look like them
why her clothes were 3 times the size
why she didn't have a gap between her thighs
still teased to her face and back behind
Every Day, she wondered why

Every Day
waking up came with the same thoughts
"You'll never be as pretty as the other girls.
Your hair is frizzy, not bouncing cute curls.
Your skin freckled about
Your stomach gyrating around
as you walk."
Every Day, she bashed herself

Every Day
she faced her reflection
She saw the rolls and marks
on her skin others called imperfection
She wanted so badly
to shatter the glass
So she wouldn't have to face her ugliness
Every Day, she hated herself

Every Day
could have been special
New skills and memories created, shaping future potential
but bullies and society broke her morale
and to self-doubt, victum she fell

Every Day
became torture to go to school
heartbreaking to face the mirror
impossible to believe in herself.
Every Day became a day where
she begged for tomorrow to come,
crying out for peoples tunes to change
Hoping that for once, she could be the same.

Every Day
was a struggle
and sometimes, still is.
Every Day she still faces a ballooned stomach
and stretch marked skin
Every Day she remembers the harsh words of her peers
sometimes even her family, and most definitely takes stares
She knows she is wide
but now
Every Day, she takes pride

She went from no self-esteem
keeping to herself
Sitting in the back
with silent cries for help
From hating everything that she saw
To accepting herself for all her flaws.
To working and making something of herself
To going to college, speaking up to hell
To knowing that
Every Day, Beauty is not being like everyone else.
