Rowena is the only surviving daughter of Helena and Renwythe, pictured respectively.

Renwythe - Renwythe was born into the band of Mhorians, the son of a mother who was the daughter of a male that was one of the young survivors of the Calamity. As such, he has always been deeply ingrained in believing in Mhor's practices, even if many of the old ways haven't been observed while the band has been traveling. Renwythe heartily took up the role as Rowena's teacher, relishing in it even more when he believed he saw the soul of an Archqueen within her. He was a deeply spiritual and reflective soul, and was gentle and wise, but tended to retreat into himself too often and could come off as aloof. Especially when it came to Rowena, who he tried (sometimes too hard) to mold her into a dignified and benevolent ruler. That was typically where Helena came in.

Helena - Helena wasn't born a Mhorian. In fact, she was from a pack that offered shelter to the Mhorians during a storm, a healer that tended to some of the Mhorians as they rested. As she did so, she listened, and when the time came for them to leave, she made the decision to go with them. A bright, happy-go-lucky, and charismatic soul, she and Renwythe became smitten with each other in a short time. Where Renwythe tended to emphasize teaching Rowena the teachings of Mhor, Helena often impressed upon her daughter the importance of being herself, having fun, and loving the wolves around her. When the group lost Helena to the sickness that claimed many of their packmates, it was an incredibly harsh blow to their small family. Some could say that Renwythe didn't truly smile from the time his mate passed to the time when, roughly six moons later, he gave his own life to save their daughter.

Rowena was born and raised by two wolves who, in many ways, were a microcosm of balance in and of themselves. Her parents were partners in the truest sense, and as a pup she was witness to what a truly loving and compatible relationship looked like.
