This is quite nice. I like the way it appears her eyes commence to cross, as she gazes down at her little man. One finger, a wall to him. One finger to shepherd him into a trap... a glass he might have used a previous day, to gulp a drink of water. Just a drinking glass, nothing we ever think of beyond it being a serviceable accessory found in any kitchen. And now that glass can keep him, and enough air to last him for quite some time.

I agree with you again, she can shepherd him into the glass trap easily. I think she wants to lift him because keeping him on the floor is neither safe to him and nor suitable to her. I think she is afraid to pick him up between her fingertips because even a slight finger perssure to her means deadly crush to him.
