That's far away, I'm in Indonesia...recently i made a calligraphy but not like yours, i used the square kuffic style for a logo ..
yours (if i'm not mistaken) is Thuluth or Muhaqqaq (correct me if i'm wrong)

I think you say "before" when you should say "ago". 
Do you see?
If you say "I made this before 9 years", it means that you made it before you were 9 years old. A very long time ago.
If you made it in 1999, then you must day "I made it 9 years ago".
