I drew the future versions of the AT cast from Comic Issue #8!I originally sketched this on paper, then I took a photo and outlined it on Paint.net.
I wanted to draw PB with the awesome issue #7 blue jacket on, but I also wanted to draw her how she looked at the end of issue #8, so COMPROMISE! The Science Hand is now also a bunsen flamethrower. They'll need one - their firey friend seems to be KIA in this timeline. FLAME PRINCESS ;_;
Finn is very disproportionate but IDGAF. I drew him last.
Jake is uninteresting because I needed to draw something for PB to lean on and BMO to sit on. LOOK WHAT I DID WITH HIS HAND!
BMO is adorably trying to play with Jake's shaggy Future Tail.
By the way, this is the future where Everyone Took A Level In Badass - even BMO! Finn and Jake found themselves as badasses when they traveled there, then PB was like "yes I have participated in an arms race" and kicked ass with her gadgets and plans, FRACTAL GLOOOB JAKE, and BMO arriving at the end with Giant Robots!

I think it's really cool to see fanart of the comics. While I personally am not a big fan of the overall style of the comics (other than the backups stories, which are always a treat,) I really appreciate them. They need more love!!

She is... uhm... I don't know actually! Finn definitely isn't with her anymore in that comic (whether that's due to her death or a breakup or Ryan North just hating PB I don't know). She made a cameo, she was with Ice King and they were fighting the robots.

Dude, that's awesome.... but all that wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff always confused me. I'm quite sure that there's something wrong with the time-logic that happened in the comic, but I'm not sure what exactly....

So let me talk through:
In issue #6, PB made a time machine that would bring the MIND of the user back to the point of time the machine was created. They mentally replaced their past self.
Now, when PB broke the time machine and Jake brought it to NEPTR, what NEPTR did meant that instead of bringing it back to the point of creation it brought the person's mind FORWARD by 15 years. What this meant is that the time machine DUPLICATED Finn and Jake's minds, and pushed them to the future, overwriting the mind that had pressed the button without any success. Or rather, it gave them a Delayed Memory Wipe of sorts.
Then what happens is another two timelines branch away when they all decide they want to make a Time Machine and send it back to THEMSELVES. What happens there is that one set of the Future Crew escapes the cave, and possibly encounters BMO, and spends years and years figuring out how to make a Time Machine without the magic that existed upon its creation, and when they do that they continue with the decision to send it back to themselves so that a new, separate timeline is created where Finn and Jake recieve a time machine and go back into the past AGAIN.
When they do this, their time travel seems to overlap somewhat on their OWN timeline due to Finn leaving himself a note which he remembers reading. Unlike the past machine though, this time machine sends THEM back in time, not just their minds. They do continue to replace themselves, though, somehow. And then when they go to PB, she puts a chemical on the machine that makes their minds replace their past selves, and also something happened that meant, this time, the machine erased itself and the other Time Machine that PB was about to create from existence - this was caused either by the chemical or by a programming the time machine had to detect the other time machine and erase them both at once.
That is my interpretation, hope it makes sense o_o

It makes..... slightly more sense. You see, I'm great at quantum physics due to an awesome childhood of Back to the Future and other such movies, but it can still confuse me quite a lot. Even when you know a lot about something there are still those moments when it doesn't make sense, you know what I mean?
