This is really, really good! What stands out to me so much is how you conveyed depth. You made the nose and upper lip very crisp and defined and made the eyes and bottom lip much more faded. It really makes the nose appear as though it's protruding from the face. You also did a fantastic job with the rendering. You placed the highlights thoughtfully and the tonal range you used looks very natural and realistic (I always have a bad habit of wanting to put highlights everywhere and make the shadows way too dark). I also like the variation in detail you added. That may sound kind of weird, but you put a lot of care into making the face accurate and refined while keeping the hair simple by just blocking in the different values and not getting too caught up in making it look perfect (I have another bad tendency of trying to add too much detail to places that are really rather simple in tones). The toned background also really helps to make the whites stand out. Absolutely fantastic work!
