Descrição: Depois de alguns anos, Giovanni encontrou outro cientista para trabalhar no projeto mew. Usando o mesmo DNA usado para a criação de Mewtwo, este cientista começou o processo de clonagem, tentando manter o mais original possível, mas, num ataque da equipe Plasma ao laboratório, o projeto foi finalizado a força, resultando neste clone incompleto porem poderoso, que fugiu logo depois do ataque, desde então a equipe Rocket não sabe nenhuma informação sobre seu paradeiro.
Description: After some years, Giovanni found another scientist to work on the mew project. Using the same DNA that was used in the creation of the Mewtwo, this scientist started the process of cloning, trying to keep the most possibly original, but, in a Team Plasma attack at the laboratory, the project was finalized by force, resulting at this unfinished but powerful clone, that run away just after the attack, since then the Team Rocket don’t know anything about his whereabouts.

It doesn't say it is on the official Pokemon website. It doesn't directly say it's not, but saying it's "familiar, but not quite the same, looks a lot like" pretty much is saying that it's not, just that it's related in some way. Seeing as Mewtwo is a clone, chances are that Mewthree is a newer attempt at cloning Mew, or something of the sort. it's a different Pokemon with a similar story as Mewtwo, and a similar appearance because of it's origins. Not "confirmed as a new forme". Give me a place it was officially labeled as a new forme, and I'll believe you.

I'm saying it's not officially licensed. Corocoro is official, so I guess you're partially right. Them saying that's what it says doesn't make it official.
I think maybe i would just prefer that it's not, and choose to say it's not, because that would be silly.

Okay then, but I'm pretty sure a translation from Corocoro makes something pretty much official.
And, whether it's loved or not, Pokemon are releasing a new Mewtwo forme, and "Nostalgic Fans" are gonna have to get used to it. It won't be compulsary, so I'm sure it will affect you're Pokemon X & Y experience very little.

To be fair, i don't really even like Mewtwo that much, and prefer Mewthree [but if it's a new forme, why is it's name not also mewtwo?], and I generally dislike forme pokemon, so i guess i just don't like the sound of it. But no, i don't use legendaries at all, so it won't effect me in the slightest.

I assume it is still Mewtwo (and with an educated guess, it will be Awakened Forme or such like) but Formes are a fun thing for those wanting to use them, which is why, I assume, they're not compulsory.

But why wouldn't they announce it with that name though? Maybe it WILL be a new forme, but it's not at first? Like Mewtwo gets zapped with a fancy ray, and then gets a new forme from that? Who knows. As long as they make it happen in a cool way, i guess i'm fine with it.

As far as I'm aware, in the movie, mewtwo wakes up from whatever slumber its been in since the First Movie, and it looks like this...

He wasn't really in a slumber though. In mewtwo returns, he was just avoiding one of the evil groups on his little secluded island. i'm pretty sure he was just roaming around after that incident.
