The third tattoo Iβve done, I just want to paint all the dolls in the world.This one is on my doll Vinny, complete with freckles because sheβs the cutest most badass ginger in the whole world. The tree of life attached to her spinal column as that is the axis of life in the human body.
Vinny is a Spiritdoll Proud w/ Jina head
Now.. to start doing tats for other people..

Starbl00d when she was still around was kind enough to credit and show me; it's kind of insane to see it on an actual human being; really glad they found a good tattoo artist to do it too, really easy to have it turn out like an ink splat and not a tree haha.Β

Amazing. Why "tree of life" though if there are no leaves?

Firstly, sorry for the other person replying who was a bit rude, I think the question's a good one, good enough that I pondered the answer for a while.
I wish I had some sort of deep answer to you in regards to the leaves, but I don't lol, In college my professor would find nuances in all of my classmates and my work that we hadn't noticed and ask us about the insightful way that we'd chosen to represent something and we'd just smile and nod. I think a lot of great art is that way.Β
I sat on 'why no leaves' for a bit and in regards to her character; she isn't very capable of growth, she's very wild, reckless, her roots are within her and not within where she grew up or where her home is or who she's around. She's like a potted plant, able to be placed anywhere but fragile because she doesn't have those deep anchors that let you thrive.Β
That's how I'd come to analyze it, when she grows as a person she'll symbolically be able to add leaves to the tree. Thank you for your interest and your lovely comments <3 I really enjoyed sitting down and analyzing 'why' I'd do something a certain way, there was nothing unkind about your comments and once again I'm sorry for other people taking it as such, thank you, truthfully : )

thanks for your insightful response. i wasnt trying to argue about the naming as the other rude person implied, but was really genuinely curious about your thought process on the name, cuz as an artist (photographer) myself, naming your pieces means a lot and i was intrigued, that's all.

I completely understand that, that's what I took it as, I thought it was obvious that it was an artistic curiosity and not anything sinister. As much as I do enjoy getting the 'wow's' and 'this is beautiful's' I really, reallly love the comments that instigate a bit more of a conversation between artistic minds.
Plus the conversation prompted me to take a look at your own posted work.Β Your photography is incredible, you have an amazing eye for composition and the places you've explored are spectacular, you really capture the magic of wherever you are.
