Okay so I started rewatching Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy last week (for the first time since '99), and let me tell you a thing: IT IS PRETTY GOOD. Yes, sometimes the plots are as thin as a waifer, and yes, the special effects seem to have come straight out of Photoshop 2 (seriously) and the early episodes are pretty much your standard monster-of-the-week fodder, but when the writers allow time for the characters to grow and the monsters to actually be threatening it becomes pretty damn enjoyable. I mean, you've got an Actually Well Written™ sixth ranger with cool powers and an intriguing backstory; alien planets and an episode that takes place almost entirely on a creepy deserted space ship; the first self-sacrificing ranger; pretty impressive fight scenes; birthday cakes as a major plot element, FEMALE VILLAINS, one of whom turns to the good side, and another who is pretty feminine and girly and yet still wears black (there's an entire episode dedicated to her wanting to be beautiful and it is amazing), oh and Leo. Leo. Like, he was never supposed to be the red ranger in the first place. He's just some goofball who ended up as a stowaway on a space colony until his brother fell into some big hole in the ground and he took over his place as the red ranger. And then his brother comes back and Leo gets all insecure about his rights to be a hero and it is magnificent. I mean, heroes who question their abilities? I want ten. (Also, the quality of an episode is directly related to how much skin he shows. It is scientifically proven.) *rambles*

So tltr; I really wanted to make some Lost Galaxy fan art, and I enjoyed it, too. Lately I feel like I'm making drawings for others rather than myself so this drawing really helped to clear my mind on some things. c:
