and... collage experiment #2!
I have a bunch of this black and white patterned scrapbooking paper and decided to actually put it to use. xD
I like drawing deeeer. They're cute. <3
The deer are pen and blue colored pencil on lilac (oh yes, LILAC) construction paper. Plus a bunch of scrapbook paper, black and white acrylic, and white gel pen.
I really don't like this compositionally, I kinda wish I'd put the deer in a different place on the paper. Lack of balance, blahhh. D:

I can see what you mean, now that you mention it. In most cases you want the subject to be facing into the picture, not out of it. I really like the style.

I think compositionally I just want the deer to be a little lower, but I really like how the mountains are made of the argyle because the pointy-ness of the design is indicative of how mountains should be to me. But idk if this speaks of 'softness' at all to me. All of the harsh white and black and then the stern expression of the buck.
