I just spent 5 hours+ on this, phew wat a job! ive had fun making it tho and learnt a lot from making it.i believe this is my best cg to date, so hope u all will like ;D
(to my frends: real sorry about being away but i like to slack off and break promises! haahrhar)

Thanx for the support every1, I've updated it! i added and adjusted a lot of stuff. added stuff like shadows and adjusted her skin and hair tones.!!

thanx a lot eyes-s, i can really appreciate that because i really spent a lot of effort on it.
the spots on the background are like a colour pallette, i use the eyedropper tool on them so i can always have a sample of the colours that I use in it.
Hehe now that i updated it with some final touches, i got rid of it.

ahhhh back then, i was still learning to cg properly, thats was my first proper CG in a different style. Smudge toool, loads off pple have told me to use it, but i dunno it doesnt appeal to me, it just dosent work

Hmm.. that's sad to hear!! U know about the new chinese graphics team right.. the ones that make manga and really 3d manga? (i forgot their name) well, there was a tutorial by them on how to smudge and shade! I learnt off that very much

the smudge tool, do u put down the strenght? because i started using the blur tool

well, i usually have the smudge tool on 50% str. when it comes to things that need delicacy and precision (like smuding the nose, u dont wanna mess that up lol), i turn it down to like 20% and click&drag a few more times than normal.
its really easy to master. for eg u just place 2 colours next to each other (so they are hard edged and contrasted), and u smudge the space between them several times and u get a nicely blended colour in betweenn instead of hard edges. so maybe u should practice it more and it might appeal to u once u got the hang of it

i usually just brush on the highlighting and smudge it, do u suppose using paths is a better alternative?

As for Paths....Well, the Pros say that's the way to go-but I've never gotten the hang of it myself
