2008. Okay, I didn't actually do a whole lot of work for this one.But anyway, Revy from the series Black Lagoon.
Not a great photo, but it's the best I've got. I have to hunt down that person who got a shot of me in a way cooler pose >A<
Details:
- Tank top, belt, gloves, army boots (not seen here) all gotten from an army surplus store. I shortened the shirt.
- Shorts found at a thrift store. I wore them for a summer, got to love them, then tore the hem off.
- BB guns found at a dollar store, actual full 8" berrettas. they were surprisingly well-made, put together with screws even. I packed fish gravel into them for weight and spray-painted them silver with beige handle scales.
- leather gun double-holsters kindly crafted for me by one of the other staff members. i commissioned him.
- tattoo airbrushed by tattoosfornow.com (closeup: [link] )
- hair took freaking long to grow out >_>
Oh. that knife in my pants was not part of the cosplay.

Hey, could you might ask the one who sewed the gun holsters for you if he/she would like to share the pattern of sewing it? ((: I've been looking for double holsters for years to buy but that's just impossible... s:

This cosplay is so AWESOME There's an anime con coming up soon and I have hardly got any choices of characters to cosplay as because of my Brown hair and I was thinking about cosplaying as revy but cuz of body probs and blah blah blah and cuz of the shorts and all that I'm having trouble :S but anyways great cosplay

There are tonnnns of characters to pick from, don't worry if it's not perfect! The important thing is that you have fun! If you're worried about the cosplay not matching you because of how you look, you can alter it a bit to flatter your body. I mean, you can see that my shorts aren't as short as Revy's actually are. My thighs don't look perfect so I was hiding that a bit X3

I found the guns in a dollar store. It was a lucky find. XD
I commissioned someone I know to make the gun holster. :0 If you can find someone who does leatherwork, they may be able to do something like that for you.

Anime Evolution, Canada's biggest west-coast con (I think). Fairly close to SC though, just north of Washington.

Washington State is my homestate. XD Born and raised. Last year's SC was my first Con and it also happened to be a B-day present for myself since it started on April 10th, (which is my B-day.) I knew I wouldn't get anything and just received $800 to play with and had a car, so it was like perfect timing. XD

Well it's apparently an anime and a manga series, I've seen the first two seasons (3rd coming out soon!) and I'm currently getting the books. Worth a read/watch... try onemanga.com for the comic and veoh.com for the anime.

Oh, I haven't noticed what's on DA today. I just cropped my face off because I can't seem to get photos of my cosplays without having some sort of ugly face XD
Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if people confused the cosplay for Lara. Even I was a little, while buying the tank top... I thought she had a black one but the guy said it was light blue.
