"From local Nords I was able to deduce the origins of a peculiar mine. After establishing a garrison on Bleakrock Isle, the Pact sent a Nordic prospector known as Hozzin to search for ores to forge troop armor. Hozzin proved to be successful in finding iron for the pact, and so a mine was established to provide for the troops. Fate seemed to turn for the worse, however, when miners dug through the walls of an ancient Nordic barrow and were reportedly met with a strange sickness. The nords took this as a warning from the spirits of the disturbed barrow. The mine was quickly closed and dubbed as Hozzin's Folly."

Nearly a thousand years later, the East Empire company engaged in prospects of its own on the isle, seeking to continue where Hozzin fled. Whatever ancient disturbances Hozzin's men found are now long gone. The East Empire miners hope to find new sources of ebony in these tunnels, given its geologic positioning between Vvardenfell's Red Mountain and Solstheim's ancient volcanic rock.
