Little life taken too soonyour flightless wings
couldn't save you
you fell and drowned
in water so black
the storm too strong
ended your new life
too soon
much too soon.
I want to weep,
yet will not weep
because you are not gone
your flightless wings will grow
into the mighty wings of a phoenix
and you will live forever
alive and whole in the Summerlands.

It's strange though, I get the feeling I've read this before, but this says you added it on the 10th. Did you show this to me when I visited? I got the strangest sense of déjà vu reading it.
Reminds me of when the bird flew into the window.
Thankfully that bird recovered and left.
