I haven't done a SessKag pic in a while. This isn't for any contest or anything but it is Winter and thus calls for a Winter pic. I have a little story to go along with this pic

RIGHT HERE:

Slightly Cold

A soft yet freezing gust of Winter wind teased Kagome's raven hair as she made her way through the park. Shivering, she pulled up her dark turquoise scarf and mentally cursed herself for wearing such inadequate clothing for this night.
"I have to get home or InuYasha is going to have a fit, I know I'm already gonna hear it about this stupid skirt and only one sweater" she mumbled to herself, picking up the pace. The tall, dead, hibernating trees sent ominous shadows across the white , blanketed ground looking like familiar feudal demons. Not a streetlamp was on or even flickering, making the young girl shiver with something other than coldness.
The slippery, cobblestone path seemed to go on forever when a night mist swept through the park, making Kagome slow her pace so she didn't accidently slip and fall therefore causing a scene to any homeless passerby. Her heart jolted when an unsettlingly close crunch of ice came from behind her. With her legs frozen she tried to run but instead her knees gave out and she found herself starting to fall to the icy floor until a strong hand clutched her upper arm, stifling her fall.
Seeing a long haired shadow in front of her, she sighed with relief and began to turn around.
"Wow, thanks Inu-" she stopped short and was looking not into the annoyed eyes of InuYasha, but the emotionless auburn eyes of his brother, Sesshomaru. Her heart pounded against her chest. The streetlamp suddenly flickered on.
"Oh um...Sesshomaru, thanks for that" she stammered, flattening out her skirt. The warmth from her arm suddenly returned to its freezing state when the demon lord released his hand from it and placed it back in his trench coat pocket.
"Hn" was all the ice prince responded with, making Kagome blush even brighter, "Miko, the attire you are wearing is most certainly not suitable for this night of this particular season" he lectured.
Kagome erupted with redness, "Yeah, my body kinda figured that out" she shivered slowly but rapidly enough for Sesshomaru to notice. "But I'm almost home, and InuYas-" she paused when she saw Sesshomaru wince at the name, "my family is going to let me have it for going out like this, I didn't expect to be working this late today, but hey it is Winter and fashion sales are the best at this time of year and I'm always happy to help, plus the fact that there's this really cute moon necklace that I want so I hafta work even longer and-".
"I believe your body is speaking for you" Sesshomaru slightly smirked. Kagome gave him a look as though he made a perverted comment but then realized that she was shivering physically and verbally.
"S-s-sorry, I'm just a l-l-little cold, tend to ramble when I'm uh...I should b-b-be getting back" she stuttered and began walking the other direction with robotic limbs, earning her an unknowing snicker from the man behind her.
"Kagome..."
She turned around and was greeted with a pale palm holding a black box. She looked at it questionably. "Can I help you...Lord Sesshomaru?" she shyly asked. Knowing that the box was for her yet still doubted her beliefs.
"I understand that it is after Christmas but...you have done so much for Rin and Kohaku and therefore have done so for me...this is simply my Christmas Present to you...a 'Thank You' as you humans put it" he rather sincerely said as he grabbed her freezing hands and placed the box in them. He kept his hands over hers, warming her.
Kagome looked at the small box and then back to the demon, and opened it.
"It's the..." she gasped as she laid her sapphire eyes on the cerulean crescent moon necklace that she so desperately desired. "How did you?" she began to ask.
" InuYasha is not the only one who keeps an eye on you nowadays...you need, REAL protection Kagome, and I am the one who is most qualified for that position" he explained, raising an eyebrow to see a small tear welling up in the woman's eye. "And right now..."
He moved up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, smirking when he immediately felt her body heat skyrocket. "You need protection from this cold" he whispered in her ear.
Snow began to fall.
Kagome blushed and smiled. "Thank you...Lord Sesshomaru" she sighed and leaned into him and looked at the falling ice. "Ya know...I think it'd be alright if we stayed out her for a while longer...I mean, it's so beautiful right now" she turned to look at him and for a long, endearing moment their eyes were locked on each other. Sesshomaru smiled wholeheartedly.
"Yes, yes it is" he lightly caressed her warm cheek.
