Model: AlvieAs the time goes by, it seems like Indonesian teenagers these days feel ashamed to wear Indonesian traditional outfit, which is rather disappointing. Most of us (teenagers) still think that Batik is outdated and old-fashioned. Even sometimes we feel force by our parents to wear it to certain formal occasion, like wedding party, etc. But if we look it from the other side, culture indirectly intervene our life, it assemble a small part of our identity as a person. Yet also, Indonesian Batik is one of a kind, it has its own originality and uniqueness. Then why must we feel ashamed to wear it? Our abundant culture is a gift to our country, so start to love it and be proud of it!
P.S: I wrote it to be put in the Culturific exhibition too, so I just copy paste it right away hahaha

Interesting picture, though she seems to like the Batik, I guess it has to do with more western cultures and the fact of more and more globalisation that's been influencing the teenagers ? Well I would say, be free to wear what you want, be free to be who you want, just be free.. though it's not easy sometimes ..

hahaa yeaaa, it's true, the globalization these days has bring a huge impact towards teenagers nowadays (including me, i think
