True justice can not be found in life, unfortunately. It is, in many ways, pure empathy. It is forcing the pain and suffering of the victim upon the perpetrator. Death is the ferryman to justice, not justice itself; just the one who opens the door to the court room.

That's the thing. I have no idea who's justice here, L or Light. I prefer L, but I can to an extent understand Light's principles, I just think the book corrupted him to take it way too far. It's... Confusing.

this is a perfect explanation how much different people see the world and that everything is questionable. thanks to death note a lot of people realized that there is a different point of view(i mean, some people never learn to be in someone's shoes. death note shows at least that there ARE different shoes...) do u get what i mean?

1.st DN - shows light and kira who see good in different light same as evil.
2. "justice - after DN i am not sure anymore" - you saw two different views. it is rare opportunity, people almost never understand different view to situation. thats why u are not sure anymore. though few people in this world tend to see both sides and thats why indecisive often.

In English class we're working on short stories and my teacher was talking about Protagonists and Antagonists. She was saying that the Protagonist was the "hero" or "good guy". And i explained how Death Note worked, that the bad guy was viewed as the good guy and the good guy was viewed the bad guy and this was my response:
"That's messed up!"
