She's the Moon Goddess that reigns over vampires (she's just technically the highest vampire) and lives in a white marble castle on the moon. She represents sadness and water.

A normally pleasant woman who just wanted children. For the Sun Goddess Adalynn, Life gave the gift of humans to live under the light of the sun as her children. For the Earth Goddess Eavan, Life gave the gift of elves ad fairies to live on and in the Earth as her children. Narcissa was to live by herself on the moon to light the way of Humans and elves by night, but she got lonely and asked Life for children. He had no more left to give. So death made a deal with Life to give him the raw materials and create a child for Narcissa. He made vampires for her.

Technically, her and Death love each other, but it may just be family love. I'm probably not going to explore into the topic in my story.
