A fake Ancient Mew-style card featuring Azelf, my favorite of the Lake Trio.The runes aren't the exact ones used on Ancient Mew, but they're the closest I could find. Also, the symbols don't correspond with Ancient Mew's translation. Instead, I just left each letter how font had them ordered. It's much easier that way (though I still would had tried it if this font had all the symbols that Ancient Mew has).

That's the one. The Lake Trio are believed to be based on the Three Sacred Treasures of Japan, which represent valor, wisdom, and benevolence.

I normally don't take requests since Ancient-style fakes take so long, nor do I take commissions for legal reasons. However, I might let a Fakemon slide. I could make the card for $30, but only if it's a small (chibi) Legendary like Azelf and Jirachi (others don't seem to translate very well to this style).

Ancient Mew was the only Ancient-style card ever made. I used to hear rumors about people finding it in booster packs, but those were false. You could only get it by watching PokΓ©mon: The Movie 2000 in theaters, before they phased them out and replaced them with normal-style cards of the Legendary Birds. Despite being one of the coolest-looking cards ever made, it's not very rare. You can find them all over eBay at very cheap prices (except the 'Nintedo' error ones, those are pretty rare).
The HGSS Alph Lithograph cards are kind'a similar. Nowhere near as cool, though.

The DVD just included a Pikachu card. To my knowledge, the blue-rays have never included cards.

One of the main reasons I stopped buying the movies is because they stopped including cards with them. I think the last two that included cards were Destiny Deoxys and Lucario & the Mystery of Mew (unless you got the collectors version). Weird that the one between those, the Manaphy movie, didn't include a card.
I thought the Mewtwo card included with the first movie VHS/DVD was pretty cool. Kind of bizzare-looking, but cool. I like it more than the theater promos for that movie. As far as the other movies go, however, the theater promos were definitely cooler than the home video promos. Ancient Mew, reverse-holo Entei... good stuff. They even gave away jumbo cards at some of the newer PokΓ©mon movie showings (like Zorua and Victini), but those were only at select theaters.

Ah. Well, that makes sense! I've never actually heard of a reverse-holographic
card before... Is it like how you can see into it, like there's a 3D image inside,
for say, a 3D image of Entei on a cliff, far away in the woods somewhere?

It's nothing that complex. A reverse-holo card is one that has the sparkly foil outside the art rather than on it.

I really think they should make more cards like Ancient Mew. It would be interesting to see how a newer-style Ancient template would look. I actually started making one myself, but I gave up on it. I still have the files, so I may continue it later, but I doubt I will. Maybe I'll send 'em to Asche and see if he wants to play around with 'em.
