Description
This commission was done for a old buddy from PW forums; but it does bring up a intersting topic:I get asked to draw dangerous women a lot. Maybe it's my niche.
She has evil living in hr arm: the kind of evil that gives you a rash like Tim Burton would leave.

Black and white drawing always pick up the nastiest mood of the character. She still looks like a sweet girl even carrying a demon and a dangerous sword.
I like it pretty much. Not too much details, at it simplest.

Speaking of Tim Burton, one of the best directors ever, I think that movies like Nightmare Before Christmas has been more influencial to morbid artists than almost anything EVER. It's like the epicenter of all things goth now. Though I'm not goth (though I do wear a large black coat and dream depressing thoughts) I find that Burton's work is quite imaginative and well done.
Few movies I have a probelm with by him (Big Fish=everyday life movie...total bullshit). Movies should be for dreaming and expressing one's self BEYOND standard everyday life mundane stuff. So why make movies about generic things like deadend jobs and love and meeting people's parents. Where's your imagination United States? But I should single out the US. I put that question to the whole world OVER.
It reminds me of a short song in the old Garfield cartoons:

Where else can you find such a BLATANT show of comformity. Thank you Garfield writers for making those characters and that song.
Tim Burton is about NON-CONFORMITY, people. He takes old stories that have been done to death, resurrected, and live to breed again, and he changes them to hold traits you think they never would've. What a brave man to do such things. Plus he's worked with the Depp on more than 5 of his movies. That achievement in my book. So he must be doing something right.

The info I got on her powers and such:
She doesn't hurl fireballs or lightning bolts, though... her specialty lies in boosting her physical abilities. She increases her strength and agility and defense to stand toe-to-toe with vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural foes in melee combat. Couple that with the knowledge of tactics and weaknesses accumulated over nearly a decade of experience and the Bowen Family Sword (which is enchanted to penetrate magical defenses, allowing it to harm and kill supernatural creatures) and you've got a startlingly effective monster hunter.
As a little bit of a twist, she's capable of casting her boost spells on other people -- despite not looking like a team player, she makes a very effective one. As for her cursed arm, I'm not sure if I told you, but the bones of that arm are indestructible (prevents her from just cutting it off and being done with the curse). She often uses it as an impromptu shield when she's out of options. She's also capable of drawing on the curse's power to strengthen a spell; this causes the curse to grow stronger and it affects her sanity (in D&D terms, she takes 1d4+1 wisdom damage, but raises her caster level and the saving throw DC of her next spell by the same amount of ability damage she took).
She knows more than just boost spells, but those are her specialty. She has a few minor offensive spells (usually used to surprise foes rather than as artillery or as a main method of attack) as well as some healing spells, including a spell to purge poisons and disease from one's body.
That sums up her abilities and how she's able to face down the creatures of the night and live to tell about it. You have to do more than just look cool to survive in a world full of monsters who see you as little more than prey.

That's some really in deatil explaination. I read it all and I have to say, it'd be a waste to not let the public read this! This is the kind of originality I've been waiting for! (at least with her powers anyway) Tell the employer they did a good job for me!

It was a commission piece: and the contract requested I keep for who a secret. From what I understand about the character; she was cursed to have her arm influenced by a god of insanity - but she is, by trade, a monster hunter (vampires, werewolves, etc).

Excellent work there! It's nice to see a lot of people here will draw a character in full figure without chopping this or that off due to page size. Then again, some of you really push the limits.

Think about it. Weak little girly-girl should've NEVER been ideal to anyone. Only the strong survive in this fucked up world. People who like strong women like them for their power of mind and body. If I get married I want a women who will have my back in a fight, not sit around and look pretty while I defend her.
