I met one when I was around 14 , and I'll never forget
It was an early morning and I was bicycling to school (the road was empty besides me, it was the countryside) when I saw what I thought was a large red cat crossing the road ahead.. and when I got to where it had vanished into the high grass on my side of the road I looked and there it was! I discovered it was a fox though and not a cat as first suspected.
It had stopped to look over his shoulder to see who I was.. seems he was just as curious as I was 
We got direct eye contact.. it was amazing!
