The Balloon Man walks around this city all the time, I always see him with a cigarette in his mouth handing another child a balloon and holding his hand out for a few pence. It's magical.I had my camera with me this time.

really nice capture. i can imagine how tricky it was getting the shot with the balloon guy and woman so still, while the people in the street were moving and blurred. great job. it's a bit high contrast, but i guess that also helps to bring out more of the balloon guy's expression, which is great too

Yeahh, I had to do a lot of sharpening afterwards in photoshop afterwards! The people were fairly motion blurred but not THAT motion blurred, I helped it a long with a filter in PS.

Took a deep breath and held it in, some good trickery for keeping your hands still. The people in the background were moving very quickly because it is the high street whereas the man with the baloon and the woman were almost motionless, I snapped it as he placed the change in the womans hand so there wasn't any moving going on.
Selected the man and the mother and child and sharpened them in photoshop because there was a teeenny bit of unsharpness :].

I like the movement blur of the people in the background. I probably would have tried a "not b/w" version, just desaturated and some adjustments with the channel mixer

I have a colour version, which has a sort of magenta film over it and some grain but I haven't submitted it to DA.
