Description Hot from the rendering engine, my first outing for the wonderful boarders plugin, surely one of the most overtly psychedelic variations. I look forward to further explorations!

Thanks Kat! I shall have to play with the gradient and angle to bring that out more

That's one deep chasm. I'm especially fond of the depth and the colors. It somehow reminds me of Moria from LOTR.
Very cool

Yes! Just a different angle and a fiery colour palette Now how to render a bridge...

This reminds me of a scene from Kubrik's film 2001! WOW!

Very much what it did for me! I never understood those late scenes when I first saw the film, but now... makes me want to see it again!

Good old LSD!

I only ever got sacked once in my life. It was by Stanley Kubrik - over a Tannoy System!!! And the reason? Because part of my job was to cover the phones during the lunch hour, and I kept pressing his button by mistake!!!!!!! OMGosh you should have heard him! The one other person in the office with me told me he was deadly serious, and I'd better go there and then, because when he got riled up he was a real monster! As he was yelling over the system, he was really banging on his desk too!

IDeviant In reply to AnnaKirsten [2007-10-16 09:44:45 +0000 UTC]

Sacked by Kubrik! Now that's a great claim to fame Something to include in those tags - "7 things you didn't know about me" or whatever! As for the acid, to my chagrin I've never tried it (only through lack of availability, I might add ): my inner journeys have been fuelled by psilocybin and salvia.

AnnaKirsten In reply to IDeviant [2007-10-16 12:12:23 +0000 UTC]

Nope - I'm not doing tags! I won't! I won't... Honestly, just not the time - I'd rather just have "conversations" one on one with different people, lol!

I have to admit to never having taken anything that might make me "trippy" as I just don't like the feeling of being out of control at any time. The only time that's happened has been purely by accident when having taken a prescribed medicine that conflicted with another prescribed medicine I was on at the time. I never did that again either!!

IDeviant In reply to AnnaKirsten [2007-10-17 12:07:43 +0000 UTC]

Don't blame you! I've only ever done two tags, and only then because I chose/I was inspired.

Successful 'tripping' is partly about achieving the correct balance between control/surrender: the more surrender, the more insightful, but only to the point of maintaining some memory of the experience!

Indeed! It reminded me of the 2001 sequence. And no less a luminary than Stephen Hawking is a proponent of brane cosmology . 'roof' of the existence of other universes would have major ramifications for human consciousness...
