OMG this took forever to finish.Well I have a lot to say about this one. Lets see... where to start...
Here's a pic of Mr. Badguy done in SNK EDIT: Shinkirou Style. Basicly I tried to imitate the SNK style as close as I could and I hope I did the artist some justice in it. I can't believe how he can get his art to be so smooth. I'm not sure if he even uses CG.
Doing this I realized somethings:
No anime and game guy characters have armpit hair.
Sol's belt and sword design is inconsistent at times.
Almost all GG characters have gratuitous belts.
The SNK artist always draws boring poses.
I got lazy at some parts as I think this pic took too long.

Man, I want them to come out with a SNK vs Sammy game, lol!
So here's my new featured deviation, CG SNK Badguy. Hope you guys like it.
EDIT: I tried not to edit this one so it wont annoy people, but I have to say that the artist's style I'm trying to imitate is Shinkirou and not Hiroaki(oops). Thanx

You're very talented in rendering these characters.Β Try taking it to the next level by paying attention to setting.Β Right now, they are just characters on either a blank background or a scene ripped straight from a photo shoot.Β Look up Norman Rockwell.Β See how he uses the space and props around the figures to tell a narrative.Β None of his illustrations read as cosplay pinups.Β They read as "iconic moments" in a personal history.

Shinkiro's art has been used into exquisite detail in this pic. I honestly couldn't tell the difference and thought it was the official thing for a moment there!!

I'm basically a huge fan of Shinkirou, and i must admit you paid him a great tribute, i have been inspecting his art for a long time and if you look closely the outer lining is always a little blurry, and the inside shadows are some kind of strangely cloudy patterned. anyway thanks man, i really want to do the same now !

This is a exquisite and beautiful take on designing Sol in the art style found within the KOF series. The combination of one to another has worked well and for you to have interrupted it shows some real skill. The realism found in the character is very well designed you seem to know a great deal in the anatomy and musclier features to make him standout a great deal.
The colouring though is was really takes the cake for the style fits perfectly with your adaptation of Sol. There are some areas that feel that more could have gone in to, areas around the black undershirt for example yet the rest of the design still holds out strong.
It might have been a thought to feature all of the design rather than a simple upper body shot. Yet again, what you have still has an amazing appearance.
