Thank you hun. I really appreciate that. To be honest though, the costume is nothing without the model wearing it, at least to me it isn't. I like beautiful things so I try to show everyone, and especially the person in front of the lens, just how beautiful they are.

I do agree with that. However, I speak from experiance when I say not all photographers are created Equal. You have a way of capturing the flow of fabric that is truely beautiful. I always find myself stuck with how stunning the pictures you put up are.
As someone how has a severe addiction to fabric I whole heartedly approve! It makes me weep for the lack of good photographers here in utah. (Or rather, the lack of photographers that will do things not weddings in addition to what they usually do...)

As for the fabrics.....I never realized HOW important they were until I started shooting. My God, the fabric choices for any costume/fashion can dramatically change the appeal of a photograph. Now that I understand that aspect better, I've made it a prime rule to follow: "It's all about how the clothes look.". That on top of showing the model in the best way possible are like GOSPEL to me now.

Really, I'll be honest, I'm deeply touched by such unexpected words of kindness, so I thank you very very much for them. I'm really happy to hear that you like my work and will do my best to improve more so next time, because there's never a limit, so I'll just keep moving forward.

Thank you!

It's true though. you don't think about things like that until you work with them. It's just not evena a concept that crosses your mind.
And that, good sir, is what makes your photography stand out! It always amazes me when I se pictures of costumes that don't show the costume off at all. In many cases you can't even see what it looks like! It goes beyond being good at framing and digital editing. It's capturing the very essence of what you are photographing.

I'm so happy to know that there are people that think that way as well. I mean don't me wrong, in cosplay pretty much anything goes creatively, but the real meat of it all, to me at least, are the clothes. Essentially that's what it comes down to because cosplayers are craftspeople, and I believe in showcasing their work in the best way possible, and with as much detail and beauty as possible. Some shots may be relegated to being "simplistic" at first, but the real meat of shots like that are the details and that's what I strive for. (And if I can make the shoot cooler, then HELL YEAH! lol)

Thank you SO much for that wonderful compliment. You have no idea how much I value observations like that.

Stunning!
How did you get the cape to flutter around her?

I had her raise her arms VERY quickly and let air and gravity do the hard work.

Thank you so very much.
