Description Colored for of her line art shown here [link]

I tried a different coloring technique with this one. I made a base greyscale shading layer, then I created a flat color layer underneath. Not sure if I'm happy with that technique, I'll probably go back to my old ways. But the results are interesting and I tried something new

I hope you like it Cactusart!

Wait a minute! How come I never saw this! D: And it's been submitted something like... a year ago? Kick myself.

Wow, it's amazing to see it coloured in such a different way! I love the darker palette you picked. The sky look so luminous!

Thank you so much for colouring it!

Cool. Did you tint the lineart for the symbols and lines above her, or added it on?

I know whatcha mean about that colour method; I've also tried using a greyscale shading/highlighting layer set to illuminate or something. It's handy if you want to keep playing with colour schemes, but somehow feels less fluid to me.

The symbols and lines were already there. What I did was I took a pink color, and went over the dark lines with the brush set to screen mode. Since the line art layer was set to multiply, only the black lines turned to the lighter shade of pink.

I found that this method produced a dull color scheme. I guess it'd be good for those darker moods, but I like to have bright colors in some areas!
