Description Hmm, I really wish this would have turned out better. I might just do this picture over again, too many things wrong with it Probably because I rushed it too fast or something. Colored pencils on construction paper, once again.

Tell me what's wrong with it so I can fix it, alright?

Edit: Okay, so I fixed some things that were bugging me, like the big eyes. Gave it more highlights, made it more orange and scanned it again and this time it's not so dark. But really people, turn up your brightness on your monitors

God, I love tigers and I absolutly love how you drew this. D:
I'm trying to draw one in art with oil pastels, but it's nothing so far compared to this. > <
Great job~ <3

Well thank you

Wow, oil pastels? I can't imagine trying to do something detailed using those messy things I can't use them too well. If you pull it if, hats off to you!

Man, it's so hard.
I hate drawing tigers. D;
But I dunno.
It's turning out okay, I guess.
I smear a lot. :\

Yeah smearing is likely with that type of media, that's why I avoid it usually. I'd like to see it when it's done (if it isn't already)!

XD It is.
I still have yet to get a picture of it, though.
I'll get it up as soon as I can. ^^

Construction paper?! Wow... I never really liked that stuff for drawing. I mean, c'mon! It's "construction" paper

As a picture, I love it! Great texture and care are obvious in this. You filled everything with color and shading. You used a consistent stroke rather than just scribbling, so that shows patience and diligence. I like!

As a tiger, it fails JUST a little... Because to me he looks more like a domestic cat than a wild tiger. He looks kinda extra round and therefore chubby. And I think that's because his hair is really full of body. I think his jaws should be more prominent and be lower then the rest of his face, but it looks like you gave him a kinda beard. And his nose is too small to me. A tiger's nose is supposed to be as wide or wider thans the space between his eyes. Here it isn't. That's the only beef I got.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

iduck In reply to Nuclearkoi [2004-03-13 01:51:59 +0000 UTC]

Hmm.. That's one of the best comments I've gotten so far! Have a cookie!
Hm, I agree with the fur. I guess I shoulda worked a little more less-hurried in the body part. And yeah, the jaw was giving me some troubles. It's hard to add details and structure like that. And I did not know the thing about the nose, thanks for pointing that out!
And yeah, maybe when I have money I can afford something better than construction paper

iduck In reply to cybersaan [2004-03-11 01:17:31 +0000 UTC]

Aww, my skills are nothing compared to your skills
Hm, the exact time it look me was about one afternoon I think. So, about 2-3 hours? It was a pretty quick one. And for construction paper, its really nice and cheap way to work on a non-white surface. Although it's kind of unfortunate when you have to work on one area for a while and it kinda rubs away. Cardstock or bristil board or something would be better

cybersaan In reply to iduck [2004-03-11 22:19:17 +0000 UTC]

nawww, thats aweeesome for 2-3 hours !!! or maybe u lost track of time n worked on it for atleast 6-8 hours........

iduck In reply to cybersaan [2004-03-13 01:48:34 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, I never tried it with pastel. I got some so maybe I should It does have a little texture so I'll see how it goes. I'll let you know!

Once again, I love the way you handle eyes. If something's still bugging you...might add a little shading around the nose, but tis about it. I can see the critter just fine, to be honest, and I've found the auto-calibrated Mac monitors to be brighter than mine (although they are Mac, but they've also some very nice color settings!)

I think most Windows monitors are set to 1.0 gamma...which is pretty low.
