A little som' som' to keep you guys happy while I continue to slave away at my Steampunk Outfit project.Green silk jabot with black lace. Long ties that wrap to the back, then to the front again to be tied in an bow.
Complete with loverly cameo brooch.
Why do I look a little like a man here?

No sir-y bob! It is a complete and utter secret. Until it is 100% finito. There are going to be many-a detail shot however... Perhaps an on-location shoot too with a friend, doing some Steampunky cosplay deal. woot!

Well, you're not gonna learn if you don't have a machine. It's that much harder when you are just daydreaming about it. Honestly, there are so many videos and stuff out there about sewing, that you'll do just fine. You can also check out if there are any sewing classes which are being offered in your local area. They're usually not too expensive, and give you a pretty darn good start.

Yeah, I live in the Middle East (Dubai, UAE)So I highly doubt there are classes. But I'm pretty sure that I can find a lot of vids online. But I think I found a pretty decent sewing machine at around 60-80 dollars.

You'd be surprised. You can also put an ad in a local grocery store looking for help from a seamstress. You could probably pay her a small fee to show you how to get started, y'know? Or if you live in an apartment, then put an ad in the lobby or something. There are plenty of "Dummies" books out there, there is probably one for sewing...
