Description А на отмели Мартин с трудом шагал на сухой берег. Попытавшись в последний раз поднять меч, он смог еще прошептать:
— Спи спокойно, Вепрь, Страна Цветущих Мхов свободна!

Heh, bloodied but unbowed! There was sure no messing with Martin!
Still, you can see he took a beating! No invisible injuries here - this isn't the bloodless carnage of the Nelvana cartoon, after all!

Heh, yeah... one of the big glaring differences between Secret of NIMH and the Redwall series... all that bowlderisation!(That is to say, unlike in the books, the violence was implied rather than actually shown)

In NIMH, you actually actually blood in the course of the film - also, we explicitly see Jenner get the knife in his back, and I think you can see Nicodemus' paw sticking out of the wreckage of that crane...
In Redwall, there is no blood (except on the tapestry... go figure...) - and the big glaring examples of implied-violence... extreme close-up on Mattimeo's face as Slagar beats him, and Stonefleck's death masked by a whopping great tree!

I'm not saying violence is good, but it's a brutal reality... can't wrap children in cotton wool, you know!
I'm used to children's films (Disney, notably) that actually show the violent side of reality, and it didn't badly influence me! Quite the reverse... I might go so far as to say it made a man of me!
I actually get a sense of satisfaction in seeing the bad guy get his/her comeuppance. (That needn't end in death, of course... just so long as it adds up to a happy ending for the goodies and a sound defeat for the baddies)

Well, I like drawing for myself, but if the draw for children, it would not draw blood)

Of course, I like this drawing too! (I did add to favourites)
Indeed, I wouldn't show something brutal to children, of course... if there were blood at all, it would be at a superficial level - minor injuries. That's enough for me.
