Description
My girls! Based on more butterflies I interacted with in real life.Eroltakmato "Tahk" (left)- a sulphur butterfly missing two wings and an arm. She's a soldier injured in battle. Since being discharged, she groomed her inventing talents, hoping to become strong enough to enter the army again.
She's good friends with Zeru (the redheaded fairy), and Leilan (the blonde) is infatuated with her.
Kamala (right)- a question mark butterfly, and the only one of the four who can fly. However, she is terrified of losing the ability to fly, so she hardly uses her wings. She and Tahk have been friends since they were children. She is acquainted with the boys, but doesn't know them well.

I love the prosthetics, I thought it was only 1 wing (because the top one is a close colour match for the organic wings) & I was so busy checking out her awesome outfit that I didn’t notice the sword-hand until I read the description. My favourite part is the half-hidden clockwork wheel, it’s very “steam punk”

Thanks! I had a lot of fun with her design. The wheel has a crank handle, too, so she can lower/adjust her prosthetics.

I love the design changes you made to Tahk! She looks sophisticated, but still plently willing and able to fight off a robin. I can picture Leilan crushing on her.

WOW...the wing designs on these two are beyond gorgeous. I love the detail of Tahk's wings and the idea of her having to make up for her injuries with prosthetic ones is very unique. Really adds to the character. >w< Also...a warrior fairy is majorly BA.

Question:...Your fairies...are they human sized or the more traditional tiny scale? :3

Thanks! The wings are actual butterfly wings, but I had fun with Tahk's prosthetics. I'm not good with mechanics, so it was fun to try.

Fairies are showing up in art again--and you modern artists are worthy of your forbears. Just... Don't stop drawing the mermaids! And Centaurs... Centaurs are nice!

Thanks. That beetle took a while to get right. I'm going to go back to the boys and redesign them so they are more diverse, as well. The redhead probably won't change that much, but the blonde might.

So the boys are named Zeru and Leilan? I actually made a character named Zeru once. Complete opposite of you character though. I love these butterfly fairies of yours. Their designs are so lively!

Yup! Zeru means sky, and Leilan means "heavenly flowers." I have so much fun with these guys, but I don't know what to do with them. They take so dang long to paint.
